Principal'S Message

Welcome To Bay Lake Elementary School

The Pride of the Community

Hello Lion Families,

It was fantastic seeing so many of you at our fourth annual Storybook Character      Parade!  This event is always a fun way to celebrate literacy throughout our campus as students and teachers dressed up like some of their favorite characters from different books across the genres.  We also enjoyed having many of our Bay Lake families and friends with us to cheer on our students and staff! We truly appreciate the support and participation of our Lion families as we work together to promote literacy and fun with reading.
I want to remind you to continue to monitor your child’s i-Ready usage as this            individualized practice aids in increasing students’ Reading and Math skills.  It is recommended that students spend 45 minutes each week for each subject. This is an excellent computer-based program that strengthens students’ academic abilities when used consistently.
In closing, I would like to thank those of you who have signed up to volunteer for our many upcoming November events, including Teach-In, the Book Fair, and Field Day.  These events are always fun opportunities to bring our school community together.  If you have not signed up, but are interested in assisting in any of these events, please contact the school office.  Also, don’t forget that our school will not be open beginning November 25th through the 29th in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.  I wish you all continued blessings and hope you will be able to spend some precious time with your family and friends during the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Warmest Regards,

Principal Mrs. Kimble
