Welcome To Bay Lake Elementary School
The Pride of the Community

Hello Bay Lake Families,

It was fantastic seeing so many of you at our third annual Storybook Character Parade.  This event is always a fun way to celebrate literacy throughout our campus as students and teachers dressed up as their favorite characters from books of many different genres.  We also enjoyed having many of our Bay Lake families with us to cheer on our students and staff!
I want to remind you to continue to monitor your child’s i-Ready usage as this is individualized practice to aid in increasing reading and math skills.  It is recommended that students spend 45 minutes each week for each subject, Reading and Math. This is an excellent computer based program that strengthens students’ academic abilities when used consistently.
In closing, I would like to thank those of you who have volunteered to present to our students for Teach-In on Wednesday, November 14th.  This is always a fun event for the entire community.  Also, don’t forget that our school will not be open beginning November 19th through the 23rd in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.  I wish you all continued blessings and hope you will be able to spend some precious time with your family and friends during the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Warmest Regards,

Principal Mrs. Kimble

Mrs. Myrlene Kimble, Principal
